Will the singer in the video be the singer performing at my event?
In one word, yes! We understand the time and effort it takes to book a live band. Most couples spend hours picking just the right band, then finding out (usually on the day!) that the singer they fell in love with is not available. Karizma can 99.9% guarantee that Talisha (that's our singer) will be at your event.

Can you send us a live recording of our first dance/song request?
We love performing a first dance live. However we unfortunately don’t offer to record your first dance or song request as part of our service. We will however play it as to the original recording, so any choreography you practice beforehand will work with the band’s live performance on the day with no problem. We have performed at over 100s of weddings, so you can trust that your special day is in the best hands.

Do I need to feed the band on the day?
Our booking contract asks that you provide the band with a hot meal for the evening. We typically leave around 3pm for a function and don't return home until the early hours of the morning so a hot meal and soft drink/coffee/tea refreshments are always much appreciated. We understand this may not always be possible so please let us know in advance if your caterers will be unable to provide a hot meal and refreshments.

My venue has a sound limiter / noise limiter - do you know what that is? Can you still perform?
A Sound Limiter is an electrical device that senses when the volume in the room (this includes all noise, not just the band) exceeds a pre-set threshold. Once this limit is reached, the electrical power will be cut for anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes. As you can imagine, this is not only bad for the flow of the evening but can also damage electrical equipment. Sound Limiters are typically installed at the request of the local council, this is intended to keep the overall volume down and avoid noise complaints from nearby residents.
The main thing to consider is that a band will have to play quieter than they usually would. Karizma have successfully performed at many venues with sound-limiters in place. We always give you our best performance and create a lively atmosphere to get people dancing!
Ultimately, the settings of these devices can vary from venue to venue. Please get in touch directly with us so we can advise you.

How long will you take to set-up?
We typically require 60 minutes to set-up and perform. If your venue has a tricky load-in (lots of stairs, parking very far from the stage etc.) please let us know in advance. Please be aware that the band will perform a 'sound-check' during which we will establish the right volume for the room, this is usually best done with no guests in the room. If you require the band to be set up before your guests arrive we may be able to provide this at an extra charge.
